Emotional Health Coaching Sessions
Coaching helps us understand the patterns and choices that influence our everyday lives. Because we all have “blind spots” in our perspectives of ourselves and others, working with a life coach acts as a helpful mirror and as an additional, sometimes vital, point of view. When we invest time and resources in our emotional health we contribute to its expansion and with it, we increase the quality of our lives.
Coaching sessions are 60 minutes in person or on the web.
Connection Call
Before we begin any work, you have the option of chatting with me and getting answers to any questions you have. The connection call is free of charge- it’s a friendly and honest chat and it lasts between 15 and 30 minutes. For clients who forgo this preliminary call the 15 minutes is automatically rolled into the first session as extra time.
Intake Questionnaire
This form will also help us understand some of the current obstacles to your emotional health and how we can begin creating a support system for you as you begin your emotional healing work. Please fill out this form before our first session.
The Begining of a Supported Journey
Many of my clients report feeling excited and encouraged to begin personal work. At our first session we will discuss the frequency of our sessions and other elements necessary to support you towards your emotional health.
Approach
I like to stay sensitive to the fact that each person I work with is unique and so is their psychological design. One of the benefits of one on one coaching is that we can customize each session to match your level of energy of that day, the load of that week or your current emotional charge. In general, I like to look beyond the symptom and see what may be underneath the surface. In our sessions, we will look at how your patterns and choices impact the many dimensions of your emotional being.
“All humans come to a time in their lives when their resources and their knowledge is insufficient to tackle the challenges in front of them. Pride can be one of the biggest obstacles to healing. We must be willing to be so real ourselves as to admit our limitations and our humanity. Only then, can we psychologically make space to receive assistance and allow the helpful powers that live within our psyche to awaken and intervene on our behalf.”
Carl Jung, The Collected Works, Vol. 9 pt. 1, p.21
